An older permanent reconnaissance outpost required a camouflage overhaul. Crews started by clearing debris, then applied a new heavy-duty camouflage net around the entire position. This netting was thicker than the previous one, providing better durability and coverage. The structure’s corners, pillars, and protruding equipment were carefully wrapped.
On top of the netting, technicians attached sections of local ivy and twigs to integrate the post with the forest floor. Thick vegetation mats were also hung on the ground-facing sides of walls. The combination of net and flora eliminated shiny surfaces and square edges. A rainproof tarp was placed under each net layer to protect delicate corners while letting moisture seep through without pooling.
After renovation, the outpost’s profile changed completely. The observation slit was nearly invisible, and even motion through it was hard to detect. Distant observers reported that the site blended with the brush, showing only vague shadows. The upgraded cover proved capable of resisting rain, UV, and wind over weeks of testing, ensuring long-term concealment for this tactical position.
